If you're new to our classes, it's always nice to know who you might expect to see at classes! We are one big dance family and many of the children know each other and all the big girls even if they aren't in the same classes!
Miss Charlotte
I trained at the Midlands Academy of Dance & Drama, and The Centre Performing Arts College, Kent, before freelancing at many dance schools, private educational schools, youth centres and preschool franchises, before setting up my first school in Kent in 2016, it was here I was a finalist in the Dance School of the Year awards 2018. I moved back to my hometown Newark and took over the Charlotte Hamilton School of Dance in 2021.
I teach all classes myself as I love to know everyone at the school personally. You'll often see my little boy, George around the studio too!

The big girls
I couldn't run the little ones classes without my big girls, who are always on hand to help with anything from tying shoes, to writing reminders for me, sorting uniform and just to give a bit of confident and hold hands with those little ones who need it!
Our current big girls are Miss Breagha who helps on a Tuesday and Wednesday, Miss Zia on a Thursday, Miss Harriet, Miss Evie and Miss Emily on a Saturday, these girls are all 16+, hold an enhanced DBS check and have been dancing with the school since they were little. We also have Miss Freya help on a Saturday who is our youngest big girl (though possibly the most mature preteen I know!!)

The children often also see Miss Rachel who usually does our exam music, as well as my mum (Joanne) who sorts costumes and helps at events, Miss Chloe (my sister) who is always around the studio and at events, and my nan (Sue) who helps with out weekday preschool classes! These all hold enhanced DBS checks so you can be sure your children are in safe hands!
